Rick Oshinski


Richard A. Oshinski has practiced extensively in commercial litigation and spent six years as general counsel to a real estate development firm specializing in public-private partnerships and commercial development. Mr. Oshinski practices primarily in real estate development, transactions, construction law, corporate law, business planning and commercial litigation.


Mr. Oshinski received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Akron, School of Law, in 1990 (magna cum laude), where he served as Captain of the National Mock Trial Team and was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for civil procedure and the Louis F. Powell, Jr. Award for moot court. Mr. Oshinski was also a member of the University of Akron Law Review.


Mr. Oshinski received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1984 (with distinction), where he served a one-year term as President of the Student Body. Mr. Oshinski is a member of the Nevada and California State Bars, and American Corporate Counsel Association. He is admitted to practice before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Districts of Nevada, Central District of California, Northern District of California and Eastern District of California.


Mr. Oshinski has lectured extensively on public-private partnerships and real estate development and is a co-author of Nevada Worker’s Compensation Practice (Professional Education Systems 1996). He has litigated hundreds of cases and arbitrations throughout Nevada and California in both federal and state courts.
